Accessibility Statement
We're aiming for this site to meet WCAG 2.2 AA. That's a goal we're actively working toward, not a claim that every page already meets it, this site includes a large amount of content migrated from an older platform, and we'd rather be honest about where we are than overstate it.
What's in place
- A "skip to content" link for keyboard users, so you don't have to tab through the full navigation on every page.
- Semantic HTML landmarks (header, navigation, main content, footer) so screen readers and other assistive technology can navigate the page structure directly.
- Visible keyboard focus outlines on every interactive element, links, buttons, and the mobile menu toggle all work with a keyboard alone, not just a mouse or touch.
- A colour palette checked for contrast, not eyeballed: our main text and button colour combinations measure at 7.9:1 to 10.2:1 contrast, comfortably clear of the AA minimum (4.5:1) and meeting the stricter AAA level (7:1).
- A responsive layout tested across phone, tablet, and desktop screen sizes, and built with plain, standards-based HTML rather than a heavy JavaScript framework, which generally means better compatibility with assistive technology.
- No content that relies on hover alone, auto-plays, or flashes.
Known limitations
This site includes guides carried over from an older platform. We're working through them, but some older content may not yet fully meet every guideline, missing image descriptions being the most likely gap. If you hit one, we'd genuinely like to know.
Reporting a problem
If you use assistive technology and something on this site doesn't work the way it should, tell us which page and what happened: admin@contentkings.ie. We'll look into genuine barriers and fix what we can.
