Exploring the Marble Arch Caves: An Unforgettable Adventure

Fact-checked 20 August 2026

Targeted fix only, not a full rewrite. History and geology sections below aren’t independently re-verified this pass.

The Marble Arch Caves, in County Fermanagh near Florencecourt (12 miles from Enniskillen), are a 2.8-mile (4.5km) cave system, part of the Marble Arch Caves Global Geopark - the first international geopark, formed in cooperation with County Cavan Council across the border.

Visiting

Only part of the cave system is open to the public. A guided tour lasts approximately 75 minutes, beginning with a subterranean boat trip and continuing on foot for around 1 mile through the show cave on well-lit walkways - good walking shoes are recommended.

Confirmed current pricing (official site): Adult £14.50, Child (5-17) £7.00, Family (2 adults + 2 children) £36.00.

The caves run a seasonal schedule and may also close after heavy rain - book ahead and check the official site for exact current opening dates rather than relying on a fixed closed-season claim, as this wasn’t independently confirmed to a specific date range this pass.

There’s ample car parking, a café, and toilet facilities on site.

Getting There

By car from Belfast: M1 west toward Dungannon, then A4 west toward Enniskillen, following signs. From Enniskillen: A4 toward Sligo, then B46 toward Florencecourt.
